I am amazed at how people will look from a distance . How we are afraid to get too close. And yet this passage shows us how the early disciples got so close to Jesus and invited others in. Makes me think how do I invite others in to journey with me? Do I point them away from Christ or toward him?Delysiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18405232867784710196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-110197701822420036.post-64602440475621287832014-01-16T19:32:50.782-06:002014-01-16T19:32:50.782-06:00Thank you for your inspired words...They've to...Thank you for your inspired words...They've touched me on so many levels...Pastor Drexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17103837948959932826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-110197701822420036.post-63487847758935782302014-01-15T18:32:55.938-06:002014-01-15T18:32:55.938-06:00A fitting way to remember Antti.

The first series we at St. Mary's, Sycamore used for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults was called "Come and See." I feel Jesus is saying that to me everyday:)

Bensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02224186564114062356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-110197701822420036.post-72024335721203078602014-01-12T22:55:21.326-06:002014-01-12T22:55:21.326-06:00I have invited someone to 'come and see' t...I have invited someone to 'come and see' the Diakonia program. So far, they have declined my invitation. How does 'learning the faith' best happen? Well, for me, it has been these past almost two years that I have been in the Diakonia program. I have learned so much from each course, from our teaching Pastors, Pastor Janet included, from the text books we've read, the essays we've written, sharing faith stories with one another. I feel that each one of us has really grown in our faith journey. As I've written essays, I've discovered things about myself that I hadn't realized before. It has been an eye opening experience for me! I am excited to see where God is leading me and to what He is calling me to! I conjecture Jesus' "Come See" pertained to others not believeing unless the miracles were done right smack in their face.Of course the healing that took place was not only something they could see, but healing is something we feel. I appreicate your posts, thank you so much.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
